PROFILE: Paula joined Dillon Eustace in 1992 as a partner working in the Financial Services Department. During the period 1994 to 1997 Paula was Managing Director of Citigroup's Trustee and Custodial Services operation in Dublin and then returned to Dillon Eustace in 1997. Paula has extensive experience of communicating with regulatory bodies and Government Departments on behalf of clients. She has in depth knowledge of license frameworks and implementation programmes and has been involved in a number of project financing, corporate acquisitions and structured finance projects. In addition Paula is an associate member of the Irish Taxation Institute and her tax knowledge complements her other areas of expertise. Paula is also a member of the board of directors of the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (“ACOI”) and is currently a member of the Education Committee of the ACOI.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS:

Assisting a large number of clients with the preparation and processing of MiFID applications to the Central Bank of Ireland (“Central Bank”).
Advising on the review of processes and procedures for one of the largest Irish mortgage intermediary companies.
Creating and implementing a robust compliance framework for a broad range of client companies..
Assisting a large number of clients in preparation for on-site inspections by the Central Bank and implementing and updating policies and procedures to address any findings.
Advising clients on the Central Bank’s Client Asset Requirements and the practical application of same.
