PROFILE: Brian joined Dillon Eustace in 1994 and has been a partner in Dillon Eustace since 2000. He specialises in financial services and advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, fund managers and corporations carrying on business in Ireland. He advises on all regulatory aspects of financial services activities in Ireland including advising on the establishment of financial services operations and obtaining the requisite authorisation. He is chairman of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Irish Funds Industry Association.  He previously worked as a securities broker in the United States.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS: 

• Advises Coronation on the establishment of their UCITS platform and non-UCITS fund of funds platforms in Ireland, 
• Advises GAM on the establishment of their long/short strategy UCITS funds and retail non-UCITS fund of funds platforms in Ireland.
• Advises Fidelity on the restructuring of their UCITS platform and registration of their offshore funds in Ireland.
• Advises PIMCO on the regulatory aspects of derivatives risk management in the context of their UCITS platform in Ireland.
• Advises Fidelity in relation to their treasury activities in Ireland.
• Advises Natixis in relation to their third party distribution platform operated in Ireland.
• Advises a domestic fund manager on the establishment of an investment management platform under MiFID.
