PROFILE: Brian trained at Dillon Eustace and re-joined the firm in 2006 from another Irish firm as a partner in the Financial Services Department. Brian advises leading international financial institutions and fund/asset managers on carrying on business in Ireland and in particular on the structuring, establishment and operation of all types of funds including UCITS, hedge funds and investment business firms. Brian has also worked and advised on the acquisition and merger of regulated entities.

Brian is a member of the Legal and Regulatory Committee of the Irish Funds Industry Association. Brian is also a regular contributor to various industry journals and speaker at international fund events.

REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS:  

• Advises on the establishment of UCITS umbrella structures (including ETFs. climate change, fund of funds, index tracking and liquidity funds).
• Advises UCITS funds which are complex users of derivatives.
• Advises on the registration of investment funds in Europe and Asia. 
• Advises on the establishment of Non-UCITS qualifying investor funds
