Asset Finance

Our Banking team advises on cross border and asset finance across a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on aircraft and ship finance.  Our experience in the area of aircraft finance includes acting for financiers and operating lessors on the acquisition, leasing and disposal of aircraft worldwide, often with extensive input from our Taxation team  to ensure the optimum outcome.  In contentious situations, working with our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team , we have advised on the enforcement of security over and the arrest of aircraft and ships.

Recent experience includes advising a financier in relation to debt finance for the acquisition of a number of aircraft subject to operating leases and acting for an operating lessor purchasing a number of aircraft with funding from a leading European bank.
